Screen Print & Embroidery Shop Manager – Custom Apparel Production

Company Overview

Micro Print Shop is a fast-growing custom apparel decoration business specializing in screen printing, embroidery, DTF (direct-to-film) printing, and heat transfers. We serve a variety of clients — from small businesses to high-profile brands and athletes — delivering premium quality products with exceptional customer service. We’re a small but mighty team of less than 10, and we’re looking for a hands-on leader to take charge of production operations while working alongside the crew.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Shop Manager with a background in screen printing, embroidery, and apparel decoration . This role will oversee the entire production workflow — from job scheduling and equipment upkeep to quality control and team leadership.
You’ll be in the middle of the action — leading, organizing, and rolling up your sleeves to make sure jobs are completed on time, on budget, and to our high quality standards .

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of screen printing, embroidery, and custom apparel production.

• Manage daily orders using Shipstation software.

• Schedule and coordinate production jobs using Printavo.

• Lead and train production staff (press operators, embroidery operators, DTF printing, sublimation printing and shipping/receiving team).

• Maintain quality control from screen burning and ink mixing to embroidery setup and final inspection.

• Operate and troubleshoot production equipment (e.g., Anatol Volt automatic press , brown manual presses, SWF embroidery machines).

• Monitor inventory of inks, threads, screens, blanks, and supplies; order as needed.

• Improve workflow processes to meet deadlines efficiently without sacrificing quality.

• Collaborate with sales/customer service teams to ensure order accuracy and client satisfaction.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.

Qualifications

• Required : 2+ years in screen printing, embroidery, or apparel decoration production (management or supervisory role preferred).

• Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and mentor staff.

• Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Technical knowledge of presses, embroidery machines, and DTF printing.

• Experience with Printavo or similar production management software is a plus.

• Experience with online marketplaces like Amazon, Shopify, eBay, etc is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.

• Able to lift 40 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay Range : $22.00 – $25.00/hour depending on experience and skills.

• Performance Bonuses : Based on shop efficiency, quality control, and customer satisfaction.

• Pay Reviews : Annual raises tied to performance and shop growth.

• Schedule : Full-time, Monday–Friday 9-5 or as discussed. We are flexible with schedules as long as we are meeting deadlines. (occasional overtime during peak seasons).

• On-Site Role : Located in Wallingford, CT— hands-on work in a close-knit, collaborative shop.
