Sterling Automotive Group is hiring! We are looking for motivated individuals who take pride in serving Acadiana and being a part of a successful family-owned and operated business.


As an Office Assistant, your main duties will be scanning and filing paperwork, answering phones, and serving as the main backup for our Lafayette dealership receptionists as needed. In this position, you will be cross trained to assist the various positions in our office with light clerical work.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ongoing scanning of documents into computer filing system
• Answer and direct calls appropriately using a multi-line phone system
• Assist the business office with administrative and clerical duties
• Relieve and back-up Receptionist when needed
• Be friendly, professional, courteous and efficient when working with all customers and employees
• Familiarize yourself with department structures and internal procedures for assisting customers and managers efficiently
• Other duties as needed by management

Job Qualifications & Requirements:

• One or more years of experience in a professional office setting is preferred
• A team player with a great attitude who will maintain a professional demeanor and appearance
• Strong time-management and multitasking abilities and detail-oriented
• Must be comfortable with computers and other office equipment such as scanners, faxes, and multi-line phone systems
• Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background check & drug screen
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and be at least 18 years of age due to insurance purposes
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Pay range: $12-$13/hr
