Day-to-Day:
Insight Global is looking for a Medical Insurance Coordinator to join one of the Top Dental Schools in the Nation. This person will be joining the Insurance Department and reporting to the Clinic Insurance Department Manager in San Francisco. Main responsibilities include:
Processing insurance claims, maintaining the integrity of patient charts, payments, and collections.
Working with patients to gather medical insurance and then prepare/process claims with ICD-10 and CPT coding.
Work with insurance companies to manage pre-authorizations and eligibility verification.
o Provide any additional information as needed to complete insurance claims.
Manage insurance denials and determine eligibility/appeal denials as needed.
Help students, residents, faculty, and staff with compliant medical coding and documentation.

Compensation:
$40/hr to $41/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
Must Haves:
High school diploma
2+ years of experience in a high-volume environment focused on processing insurance/medical billing claims.
Proficient using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel at a basic level.
Knowledgeable in using electronic health record softwares.
Experience in coding from Oral Surgery treatment plans and post operative hospital reports or and other EHR chart notes
Strong understanding of surgical and anesthesia codes, durable medical sleep apnea codes, and medical insurance billing requirements.
Experience with preauthorizations and claim billing for both private insurance and Medicare.
