Position: Manufacturing Engineer

Duration: 1 year contract with likely extensions/conversion

Location: Avon Lake, OH

Compensation : $35/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• 3-5 years of experience working in an automotive manufacturing plant
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience implementing new tooling into a plant
• Experience procuring tooling for a manufacturing plant

Job Description:

One of our automotive clients is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Louisville, KY. The engineer in this position would be responsible for assisting with a Traceability initiative that involves plant support during the implementation of new scanning equipment.

Additional responsibilities in this position include:

• Conducting reviews of current scanners status across the plant
• Leading the acquisition process of new scanners
• Sourcing new scanners
• Obtaining quotes
• Communicating with suppliers
• Gathering labor estimates from Global Industrial Engineering team members
• Working alongside plant teams to prepare, schedule, and supervise installation of new equipment
• Working alongside plant teams and IT teams to develop validation criteria to ensure data systems for tracing are set up and operating as intended
• Working alongside Product Development teams on label releases
• Writing process sheets/operator instruction sheets
