• Pay rate: 17,2

  Mon to friday 6AM to 2PM

  Job Summary:

  The Soup Room Associate is responsible for preparing, cooking, and packaging a variety of soups in accordance with company's quality, food safety, and presentation standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, a passion for fresh food preparation, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment.

  Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook soups according to standardized recipes and production guidelines.

• Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated (FIFO method).

• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures as per company policies and health regulations.

• Operate kitchen equipment (steam kettles, mixers, etc.) safely and efficiently.

• Label and package soups accurately for retail and/or service counters.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.

• Assist with inventory checks and receiving kitchen supplies as needed.

• Collaborate with the kitchen and prepared foods team to ensure timely production.

• Comply with company's quality, health & safety, and customer service standards.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Previous kitchen or food production experience is an asset (especially in soups/stews/prepared foods).
• Understanding of basic food safety and sanitation practices (Food Handler’s Certificate is a plus).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a warm/hot environment with exposure to steam and kitchen equipment.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
